As part of a new series of articles, we carried out a ‘quick-fire’ question and answer session with all members of staff at brp architects with the aim of publishing the answers from 1 member of staff each month. It’s a bit of fun, and we hope you enjoy reading and getting to know us a little better.

What is your favourite building?
“St. George’s Hall, Liverpool – first building I properly ‘looked’ at”

What would you be doing, if you weren’t doing your current role?
“Travel writer”

Where would you live, if you could go anywhere in the world?
“Melbourne”

What is the project you have been most proud of?
“Wilson House”

What advice would you give your 18 year old self?
“Sometimes things don’t go to plan, but they always work out in the end”

What is your guilty pleasure?
“Trash TV! My current favourite is Lip Sync Battle”

What would be your first purchase if you won the lottery?
“Buy tickets to go on a zero gravity flight”

What is the one thing people wouldn’t guess about you / secret skill?
“Have flown a WWII plane (under supervision!)”

What did you want to be when you “grew up”? Did you do it?
“Architect”

What is your favourite aspect of your job?
“Meeting with clients, initial design proposals”

What/ who inspires you?
“Denise Scott Brown”

What project are you working on right now?
“Preparing the submission of a Paragraph 55 House for planning”

What is your favourite film?
“Armageddon”

Where do you see the industry in 10 years?
“Collaborative, independant practices forming and reforming on a project by project basis”

If you could invite 3 people to dinner, past or present, who would you invite?
“David Mitchell, Emily Blunt, Dara O’Briain, Suzi Dent”
