The contemporary design complements the immediate context and makes references to the history of the locality particularly the former Victorian Hospital through the use of traditional materials and colour palette assembled in a contemporary manner along with reclaimed artefacts from the original hospital.

The cruciform plan form provides compact accommodation over three floors for a total area of 4,500sq.m. The building is constructed using a full steel frame focussed around a triple heighcentral atrium bringing light and natural ventilation to the heart of the deep plan space.
