“This exciting new project poses welcome challenges and opportunities to all involved”
brp have been selected through competition to work with Charnwood Medical Group to convert this grade II listed former Rosebery School in Loughborough. The aim? To provide a new state of the art Primary Care Centre, Pharmacy, Residential and community uses.
This exciting new project poses welcome challenges and opportunities to all involved. One of the main concerns for the conversion is to retain the historic original features of the old school building. Currently, and somewhat sadly, the old school building is unused. We hope to breath new life into the building whilst retaining and refreshing the evocative features that make this historic building a delight to observe.
After our initial proposals were formalised a process of consultation, for patient engagement in accordance with NHS guidance, was undertaken. Discussions between the design team, patients and staff took place. In attendance were the project architect team from brp architects, the practices business manager and the Doctors. We are please to declare that it was extremely successful and particularly pleased to hear that the former students of the school, endearing known as Rosebuds, are pleased about the proposals and are looking forward to seeing the building in use and restored to its former glory, as we are…
We hope to post some more information about this conversion project in the near future, as and when the proposals progresses. Please follow this post to receive updates.
