Gingerbread Architecture at Its Finest!

This year we decided to try something completely new in the studio — an office-wide, and compulsory, gingerbread architecture challenge! The competition was quietly competitive, occasionally stressful, but undeniably entertaining.

Some entries blossomed into truly picturesque gingerbread wonderlands, complete with landscaping, delicate details, and the kind of dedication usually reserved for our clients’ projects. Others… remained theoretical concepts, and a few assemblies proved that gingerbread can be an unforgiving medium!

But the real success was the creative and inquisitive atmosphere it created. It reminded us that even in a professional architectural environment, there’s plenty of value in playful experimentation — especially when everything smells like cinnamon.

For a first attempt, the results exceeded all expectations, and we are over the moon that everyone put in so much effort and dedication.

Scroll on to see a selection of the highlights — both the triumphs and the valiant attempts — from our inaugural gingerbread challenge.

From all of us here at brp architects, we wish you a joyful, restful and delicious festive season.
